Norcross Institute of Allied Health welcomes applications from all qualified individuals regardless of race, color, sex, religion, creed, age, sexual orientation, gender orientation, disability, or national origin. Admission is based on a number of factors, depending upon level of entry and previous educational experience.

To enroll at NIAH, all prospective students must:

  • Be at least 18 years old at the time of starting the program.
  • Hold a high school diploma, GED or equivalent. A copy of the diploma or certificate must be submitted; if one is not available, a signed attestation verifying proof of completion is required at the time of enrollment.
  • Complete an application and submit a $50 non-refundable application fee. This will also serve as a registration fee.
  • Pass a mandatory TEAS Test( Please call office to schedule).
  • Submit official transcripts from prior education and training for review.
  • For the protection of patients, students and employees, and in compliance with state regulations, you must show proof of the following immunizations before you begin a program: Tuberculin test in the past six months, or chest X-ray in the last year; Varicella, rubella and rubeola immunity; Up-to-date diphtheria and tetanus shots; Hepatitis B vaccinations or signed declaration; COVID-19 vaccination required.
  • You must hold a current, valid cardiopulmonary resuscitation Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification through the AHA or Red Cross and keep the certification current throughout your enrollment in the school.
  • Must pass a criminal background check prior to enrollment.
  • Must pass a 5 panel drug test from a drug testing facility.

In order to start the application process, please submit the following in person during office hours:

  • Fully Completed and Signed Application
  • $50 Application Fee
  • Official State Driver’s License or State Identification Card
  • Social Security Card
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Official and Sealed Transcript
  • Immunization Records
  • Criminal Background Check and Sex Offender Registry
  • CPR Certification with BLS
  • 5 Panel drug test
  • Any other applicable certifications (PCT, CMA, Phlebotomy, CNA, EKG, etc.)

Can I submit my application online?

Electronic applications can be sent to office@norcrossinstitute.com. However, payments and documents such as official ID and Social Security Card must be summitted in person for verification.

Is a transcript required for admission?

Although it is not required, an official and sealed transcript can be submitted for transferring credits. Please note that credit transferability depends on several factors and will be decided after transcript is reviewed.

Where can I obtain a copy of my immunization records?

There are several options for obtaining your immunization records. You may be able to obtain a copy from the health care provider who administered your last immunizations, the state health department where you last resided, or by contacting the last school you attended to see if they still have your immunization certificate on file.

Where can I get a background check done?

One can be completed through StudentCheck (please follow instructions) and results will be directly sent to NIAH. You may also choose to obtain one by visiting your local police department, or by using any third-party company that does a full screening.

Are International Diplomas or Transcripts accepted?

We accept international diplomas and transcripts with an official translation. Applicability will be determined after review.
